Misleading ads :

The German Anti-Competition Center considers Tesla to use misleading and inaccurate advertisements while talking about autonomous driving systems.

The German Center for the Protection against Unfair Competition describes Tesla as deluding its customers that autonomous driving systems are able to do things greater than their true potential, which is a deception.

A major crisis facing Tesla :

The German Center is proceeding with all seriousness in this lawsuit after holding a session in Munich, and expectations indicate that the American company is facing a real crisis and the matter will get worse if the case is lost.

And if the German center is able to obtain a court ruling against Tesla, the American company will be prevented from talking about the self-driving system in all its advertisements, whether it is in sales centers, or banners hanging in the streets or even on the company's website.

And many voices in Europe demand that self-driving systems be defined and not talked about in advertisements as being able to control everything while the vehicle is moving 100%.

Tesla slipped in Germany :

It is noteworthy that Tesla was the best-selling electric car company in Germany from 2016 to 2017, before falling to third in the first half of 2020.

Statistics indicate that the German Volkswagen Group occupies the first place, and by far the rest of the competition, after it managed to sell 11,177 cars during the first half of 2020.

While Tesla comes third behind Renault by selling 5 thousand and 103 cars, which is less than the company's sales in the first half of 2019.

The Model 3 car leads Tesla's sales in the German market, after it alone managed to sell 4 366 copies, or 85.5% of the company's total sales in Germany during the first half of 2020.

The Tesla Model S and Model X models appear in the 21st and 22nd places of sales on the German market, selling 405 and 331 cars, respectively.

Car experts expect that the new CyberTruck from Tesla may fluctuate the scales during the coming period when it is introduced to the German market, especially as it is receiving great attention and is witnessing a heavy demand for its purchase due to its unique exterior design and distinctive capabilities.
