The all-new Hongqi H9 Plus 2021 - the limousine version of the ultra-luxury Chinese sedan
Previously, FAW Hongqi, the oldest and most luxurious domestic passenger car company in China, has unveiled a new luxury sedan H9 H9 that is preparing to compete with models such as the Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6 and BMW 5 -Series.
Today, photos of the long wheelbase version or limousine of the Hongqi H9 9 sedan called the H9 Plus H9 + were taken in one of the company's showrooms, which prompted local sources to believe that this alternative would soon reach the market.
The company says the new H9 design is part of Hong Kong's latest design language, but the overall result looks more like a mix and match of other models, including Maybach's two-color paint color, hints from the Cadillac XTS on the back and Rolls-Royce from the front.
Hongqi H9 “regular” was only revealed earlier this year and it remains unclear whether customer deliveries have started.
The flowing exterior lines complement the luxurious cabin full of technology and elegant design. The long wheelbase variable seems to take these components to the next level.
At the front, the large chrome grille appears partially enclosed by an LED strip that runs from edge to edge while the headlights are Matrix LED modules.
The Hongqi logo is designed in red as a thin line that runs from the middle of the hood to the grille.
Another feature is the pop-up door handles and a 20-inch alloy wheel set to match the generous dimensions of the latest Chinese luxury car.
The interior appears to be laden with leather, wood and chrome, and has two large screens, one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system.
Plus ambient lighting, touch sensitive switches, and an optional four seat layout.
The long wheelbase model you see in the pictures was designed by Auto 163 and Auto Sina in China with a red and white two-tone body and is much longer than the standard model, although it still retains the four-door layout and almost the same design.
Chinese reports indicate that it can be 40 cm (15.7 inches) longer than the regular model, and the extra length is especially evident thanks to the expanded B-pillars.
A peek inside the cabin shows that the car is covered in white leather and has two luxurious second-row chairs, just like the standard H9.
However, thanks to the longer wheelbase, the rear legroom will of course be greatly improved, which is ideal for buyers who prefer to have a driver with maximum comfort.
Mechanically, the H9 Plus will come with the same engine options as the regular wheelbase model. That is, there will be a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 252 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque.
The second engine comes in the V6 class with a supercharged 3.0-liter capacity of 272 hp and 400 Nm.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels by an automatic transmission, where the speed reaches 100 km / h in just under 8 seconds.
The new H9 from Hongqi also comes equipped with the air suspension system with the semi-independent driving system of the level 2.5.
