The Lexus LS 2021 is first introduced with modern design and new technology .
almost four years have passed since the launch of the fifth-generation Lexus LS 500 and LS 500h sedan, and for the 2021 models, it has got a series of mid-life updates or Elvis Lift to maintain its competitiveness. The LS 2021 looks largely unchanged from the outside as the focus of new changes has been on improving comfort and adding artificial intelligence technologies.
The exterior features slightly modified headlamps with an adaptive system that was first introduced on the RX 2019 models, as well as a redesigned front bumper, and a standard dark metallic color in the grille. The taillights have also changed slightly and there are new black piano accents instead of chrome accents with new designs for metal wheels, such as the F-Sport 20-inch wheelset.
Inside, the interior is still largely unchanged although the new LS comes with a new high-resolution digital rear-view mirror while the existing infotainment system comes with a 12.3-inch screen that is now compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The center console now includes an easy-to-access key to activate the seats with the heating system and the steering wheel instead of relying on the touch screen only. The car also had black accents on the steering wheel and center console controls to improve visibility.
Comfort was one of the main goals of improving the 2021 model, with the suspension adjusted to accommodate updated retrofit rails and engine mounts. The seat covers have also been updated even with deeper sewing points with greater comfort in the seat cushions, and Lexus said the seats are softer and better absorb vibration.
Both versions also retain the same LS 500 3.5-liter V6 with two turbochargers with improved torque and improved transmission times, and the LS 500h Hybrid system has been updated with battery updates for better acceleration response. Both versions come with active noise control and engine optimization systems to reduce cabin noise.
The Lexus Teammate auxiliary group was also added for the first time officially on the LS and includes Advanced Drive and Advanced Park driver assistance systems as the system can estimate the position of the vehicle and adjust the speed as necessary.
