A surprise from Sony is an electric car Sony Vision-S
Sony surprised everyone in Las Vegas, when it used its CES 2020 press conference to showcase its concept of electric car on stage, this electric car was designed to showcase and test its new platform for Sony Vision-S connected cars
The car was made by Sony team of artificial intelligence and robotics, the same team that made the robotic dog AIBO, and the electric-concept Sedan car aims to highlight the many strengths of Japanese technology, from entertainment products to camera sensors and more
According to the company, the concept of an electric vehicle has so far only a name, the Safety Cocoon internal code, although the vehicle has been fully tested on the road to ensure that the vehicle and its Vision-S platform are in compliance with safety regulations
Sony Vision-S platform, which details the press conference, takes advantage of the companys experience in sensors, imaging and entertainment for use in the next generation of electric cars, as Sony provides these technologies to Japanese automakers, but wants to transform their individual products into systems that can be provided as an integrated solution
Vision-S currently has 33 sensors positioned around the vehicle, which can detect people and other
